It has been three years since the fabled Dragonborn had slain Alduin, the World-Eater. Life in Skyrim has returned to normal, relatively speaking. Alduin's death has yielded results, but it has not mended Skyrim as many citizens hoped. Many dragons have taken their own flight paths, so to speak, but there are still crises present in Skyrim that do not involve dragon-kind. But, where to begin? There is still a great vampire presence in many towns and smaller settlements, and some folks question whether the Dawnguard are making a difference. The famous werewolf hunters, the Silver Hand, is forever working to eradicate the werewolf disease. Bandits still patrol cross-roads, demanding payment from any and all travelers. The forsworn cult are as strong as they have ever been, and the Dark Brotherhood guild is slowly but surely restoring their presence. Starting two years ago, rumours of old cults are returning- have already returned to Skyrim. The Daedric Princes are said to have returned, but the vast majority of the public are tired of hearing such stories, and thus they claim these tales as rumours spread by tavern drunkards. If one seeks evidence for the Princes, their shrines are being built in unlikely and likely locations. Shrine or no shrine, not one Prince has come forth and wrecked havoc on Skyrim, but it is only a matter of time until a Prince has reclaimed their powers.. and rewarded those who serve them.
