Arissa glanced up at the large Whitehold castle walls. It had been quite some time ago when she had last set foot behind those walls. She didn't suppose that anyone would remember her. After all, back then, she had been as cold and distant as she had ever been. Yet, here she was, with Elegost. The two had been partners in crime in the Thieves' Guild. Even Elegost didn't know much about her since Arissa kept that part hidden from everyone. It was nice to know that the Thieves' Guild never bothered to question her about her history. Arissa would rather forget about it if she could and leave it all in the past. Unfortunately, and ironically, it was what kept her from opening up to those around her. Even if she tried to forget her past, it still effected her to keep her as the serious person she was today.
Right now, it was in broad daylight. Ironically, the time of day didn't matter to the two thieves. They could steal during any time of the day and right under someone's nose if they felt like it. They were experts at what they did. This life had been far more thrilling than that of a soldier's life to Arissa.
So, Elegost, ready?" Arissa inquired as they passed through the gates. The guards had let them through, unaware of who they were as the pair of them entered Whiterun. As Arissa looked around from where they had entered the town, she could see that it hadn't changed all that much. If anything, maybe the residents had changed. Right now, she hoped no one remembered her. It had been a long time since she had been here last and normally, she kept to herself. Surely, that made her easily forgettable? Figuring Elegost might pick up on her uncertainty, Arissa focused on pinpointing a perfect spot for them to try their hands at stealing.
"Think we should start at the local pub? Or do you feel more adventurous?" Arissa had asked him as she turned to face him. A slight deviant gleam was in her eyes then. There was no doubt that she was hinting at them attempting to steal from the very palace and Jarl there. Between the two of them, they could easily pillage the palace without anyone any the wiser. They were just too good at it.

Elegost gave a little sigh as he and his partner in crime, Arissa, walked past the main gates. At the same time, his fingers just so happened to take a little coin purse from the guard that was there on post. A few coin, probably twenty. Elegost couldn't really help himself, the trip to the city was rather boring and he needed to do something to get his mind back in track. Being bored is one of Elegost's few things he hated to be. He glanced over to Arissa, who was looking around the city. He couldn't figure it out, but it looked as if she had a familiar look on her face. Elegost had been her partner and friend for a good while now, and he still hardly knows that much about her. Her cold and stubborn behavior sometimes stopping question in it's tracks. Course, he promised he wouldn't pry and hasn't done so yet. He too has a few secrets that she doesn't know of him either. Perhaps it was a silent mutual agreement they had with each other.
Hearing her ask if he was ready made him feel a little giddy. He was ready when the first left Riften. He looked at her, tossing the small coin purse that he just so happen to find (in someone's pocket) in his hand. "Oh, I'm ready alright. I'm starting to get a little antsy just thinking about doing something," he said with a smirk. A smirk that was all to comfortable on his face. As they walked, Elegost hid the small purse in one of his many pouches on his belt. All in the while walking a bit to close to people. His nimble fingers reaching into their pockets. Regardless if Arissa saw or not, which she probably did, it wouldn't stop Elegost. Pickpocketing is just to much fun!
He looked at his partner as she questioned on where to start. Seeing the gleam in her eyes gave Elegost that hint that she was already thinking of something fun and challenging. "Well when you use THAT word, it only feels right to say yes. Plus I'd like a challenge. As much fun as it is to remove objects from shops, a challenge would be good to get the blood flowing. And how can I just deny a pretty face such as yours?" Elegost said, with a smirk on his face. Messing with Arissa is just to good to pass up. Aside from that, different scenarios were going through his mind on what to steal, some ideas seemed to be to good to pass up. "OH! You think if I try really hard enough, I can take some of the Court Wizards stuff? OH! And also prank him at the same time?" Elegost said with an almost child like demeanor. Aside form pickpocketing, archery, hitting on woman and stealing, pulling pranks was something Elegost just loved to do. Even to members of the Guild. And also Arissa has fallen victim to a few of his little pranks.

Arissa caught the small coin purse that Elegost had tossed in her direction. Well, that certainly answered her question. Already, Elegost was working at relieving people's pockets of their purses. With a trained eye, Arissa made sure no one was watching her as she pocketed the coin purse he had tossed if only to help carry what Elegost had swiped. As he spoke, Arissa saw that all familiar smirk on his face. It was his "I'm up to something" smirk. Arissa knew whenever he had that smirk that she had to keep a close eye on him. After all, he had been known to prank her now and then. This time, however, it was safe to say that he was focused on pickpocketing right now. She could see him stealing from people's pockets as he casually walked close to them. Of course, even she hadn't been able to see him steal a number of times. Elegost was just that swift of slight of hand.
After Arissa questioned him on where they should start, getting an idea already, she knew Elegost would be up for it. Elegost would likely know what she meant by adventurous too. Granted, such a thing could very well risk their lives but the two were used to that. They were usually running for their lives just as much as they spent time stealing. As Elegost responded, Arissa could see that he was ready for the challenge. However, what he said last had caught her off guard. He had a habit of doing that.
"Alright, a challenge it-WHAT?!" Arissa retorted, cutting herself short near the end when she caught on to what he had said. Well, she didn't see that one coming and she forced herself to turn her head toward the Jarl's quarters in the distance so that he wouldn't see the brief coloring on her face just then. 'Damn him,' she thought with embarrassment as she did her best to act normal. It didn't help that he had that smirk on his face again. Thankfully, Elegost had changed the subject back to what they were going to do. Facing him, her face back to a normal coloring, Arissa listened to his suggestion.
"So long as it's not me who's getting pranked, by all means!" Arissa replied. Gesturing for him to follow she walked up the first set of steps that lead uphill to where the palace would be in the distance. They had a bit of a walk along the way. As they went, Arissa's eyes scoped the area for potential places to pick a lock. Where Elegost's forte was that of pickpocketing, Arissa's was that of picking locks. The only locks that prevented her from getting to the treasures inside were the magical ones and those were rare.
"While you're off doing that, I think I'll go and help myself to a few treasured glass cases and chests."

Elegost left his smirk on his face, especially after seeing that reaction Arissa had. Seeing her reactions were always to great to pass up. Well, seeing anyone's reactions were awesome, but hers were just right. That was something Elegost was a little to good at. Annoying and pushing others buttons. And since he was usually with Arissa majority of the time, she was the one that would normally receive most of his jokes. Of course, there were a few times he got her to crack an actual smile, so he must be doing something right. However, most times she would get angry and thwap him on the head. Seriously, one of two things is going to happen. He is either going to die rich, OR he is going to forget that he was rich, even though he is, and die. And the latter kind of scares him a bit.
As they walked towards Dragonsreach, which is the Jarl's palace that they were going to... remove unwanted items. Or wanted. Actually probably wanted, since all the expensive stuff is wanted. Plus it's just a little more enjoyable taking something that is wanted. Elegost shook his head before any more "wanted" go through his mind. Still, it's going to feel great to get in there and start stealing. Gods know the Thieves Guild needs the gold. Plus, earning a little extra will feel great also. And his prime target would be the Court Wizards room. Magical items, even though frowned upon in Skyrim, always fetch a nice price. He was thinking some tomes, books that teach magic, and maybe some of those soul gems might fetch a nice price. And of course, a little harmless prank that may actually cause harm will be a nice little touch.
"Don't worry, I promise that THIS prank will not involve you. You wouldn't offer the same reaction as a court wizard would." he said. Although he wasn't sure what he was going to do yet. He'll figure it out as he goes. Maybe move some papers around, or everything around. OH! He could place one to many soul gems on any enchanting table he has. May cause a nice little explosion and scare. Not kill anyone of course. Elegost isn't THAT bad. Just a few burns is all.
He wasn't surprised hearing her mentioning about breaking into doors and chests. While he was a great pickpocket, she is an amazing manipulator of locks. She break into any lock of any kind. Whether it be a door, safe, lockbox, or chest, she can get into it within minutes. It was probably how they were able to work well together. He had his weaknesses and so did she, but they were able to balance that weakness out. "Sounds far to me. You go for the locks, and I'll go for pockets and anything lying around. Just don't get caught." he said with another smirk. Honestly, that smirk was probably stuck on his face.

As Elegost mentioned that he wouldn't involve her in the prank, it was somewhat relieving. He seemed more focused on the idea of tormenting a court wizard. "Well, alright. Just don't go getting caught...or getting use chased by the entire army of Whiterun in the meantime." As they walked, in the corner of her eye, Arissa kept watch for anything Elegost might be up to. They were partners in crime, his pranks harmless when it came to her, but she had to be wary whenever he was up to something. After ll, he could easily change his mind and prank her instead or prank her on the way up being the deviant that he was. All in good fun, of course. Well, his own amusement but in good fun and never anything truly harmful. People that got the harmful pranks were those that they hated.
When Arissa mentioned breaking locks and the like, she gave a nod at what he said. "You needn't worry, I'm good at hiding. I've stolen from someone in plain sight right in front of them before without them catching me. You just make sure you're not the one caught!" she replied, amusement in her voice. A rare thing considering Arissa didn't seem the type to find many things amusing. Truthfully, she did find things amusing but refused to let herself take it in too much lest she actually show any emotion. She'd rather not let others see that side of herself for fear of them getting too close.
Finally, the pair arrived at the Jarl's palace. There were guards patrolling the place but neither of them noticed the thieves. Arissa and Elegost slipped by with ease. This was child's play for the two. "Alright, here we are!" Arissa said to Elegost in a low tone of voice. They had gone in a round about way to a side entrance. Opening it up, they came into what looked to be a cellar. No guard was in sight. "You'd think they would be wise enough to guard all entrances." Stepping inside, Arissa waited for Elegost to sneak in before closing the door.
