PERSONALITY
DESCRIPTION: Carwen has not had experiences like most living in the civilized world. Her entire youth was filled with nothing but her family, the open woods, and the animals that lurk Skyrim's border with Cyrodiil, and as such, she can come off as...noticeably odd. Social norms that would come as second nature to most are foreign to Carwen, most notably patterns of speaking and understand what does and does not belong to her. She may come off as infuriatingly dense, but she's actually quite clever and curious - she simply hasn't had the training in everyday social life that others have had, and as such, she's quite the mess.
Personally, Carwen is much the same. She doesn't really mind people, but she doesn't exactly trust much of anyone, either. Soldiers and mercenaries, especially, are those she watches warily because of the miserable experiences she's had with both groups over the course of her lifetime. She comes off as immensely forceful and blunt in conversation even with people she considers to be "okay" and not worth worrying about. Befriending her is quite an odd pattern, and she doesn't understand any sort of social interaction beyond "family," but she's at least interesting if one gets to meet her.
Morally, she's also quite...odd. She certainly isn't a bad person, but she will sure as Oblivion stab someone in the neck if they cross her and be not one remote bit bothered by the act. She doesn't understand that killing is not a part of everyday life, either, and, well, she's kind of right in that it is a natural part of everyday life. She's also insanely relentless if someone crosses her, willing to track them to the ends of the earth to get revenge. Just...don't get on her bad side.
HISTORY
History: Carwen was born to a pair of fugitives from the grasp of slavers on the border of Skyrim and Cyrodiil. Obviously, her early life was not especially normal. Her family lived basically off the land in the forests to the east of Falkreath, avoiding travelers and thriving on hunting and gathering like the Bosmer people once did. The only education she received was from her parents, who had both been poorly educated as slaves in their youths. She did, however, learn how to survive, how to kill, and how to avoid society, and all in all, the family was quite happy living the way they were living. Carwen ended up with two younger brothers and went about teaching them the ways of hunting, as well.
One particular day they left to hunt together and left their parents behind, Carwen returned to a burned camp and her parents missing. Leaving her brothers in a cave to protect themselves, she sneaked south, where her family had supposedly fled, and found the camp of the mercenaries that had been sent to retrieve the slaves. She entered by herself, killing no less than ten mercenaries before she was discovered. Her parents, having been tied to a nearby tree, were slain as the remaining mercenaries retreated. In revenge, Carwen pursued them and killed the rest, though she had gone so far south she had lost her way - truly lost her way.
It was a year before she would make it back to familiar woods in Skyrim after several years of wandering and occasionally assisting other slaves or ill-fated individuals escape to the north. Once she did arrive, she stumbled her way directly into a skirmish between the Imperials and Stormcloaks and was taken prisoner for a time by the Stormcloaks. Once they had thoroughly questioned her by way of their cruel methods and determined she was no Imperial spy nor trouble for them in the slightest, she was allowed to leave - but not before she had slain the officer in the night. And so she went on her way, on a search for her brothers and finally forced into society.
WEAPONS, ABILITIES AND MAGIC
WEAPON(S):
+Twin Elvish Daggers: Carwen carries a pair of elvish daggers on her belt at all times and is an extremely quick fighter with the both of them, as the only thing she ever explicitly learned was how to fight. When she has anything close to an even fight or an advantage, one would not want to pick a fight with her.
MAJOR SKILLS:
+One-Handed: As said above, Carwen is a fearsome opponent if someone tries to face her when she has a pair of daggers in her hands. She has skill with them gained from years hunting with them and from fending off bandit attacks from the time she was barely old enough to understand the idea behind fighting and killing.
+Light Armor: Carwen has never worn really...anything aside from fitted armor made from furs and leather. She sleeps in it, eats in it, fights in it, travels in it...so quite obviously, she's comfortable wearing it and has maximum maneuverability in any type of light armor.
+Sneak: Carwen learned to hunt from animals that stalk their prey, and her small, slight frame makes her quite difficult to spot for most. It is immensely difficult to know she's coming, to say the very least.
MAGIC:
+Restoration: Carwen knows some restoration magic, as it was almost imperative to be able to heal whilst her family lived their solitary life in the forests. She's only a healer, though, and has no other real talents in this school of magic.
